How Long Can D7 Visa Holders Stay in Portugal?

The Portugal D7 visa or Portugal Passive Income Visa allows non-EU nationals to relocate to Portugal permanently. To be eligible, potential immigrants must show that they have sufficient funds to support them in Portugal. The D7 visa is also known as a Portugal retirement visa.

Portugal D7 visa- Key Features

ü  The D7 visa is a long-term residency visa in Portugal for non-EU/EEE/and Swiss nationals.

ü  As a Passive Income Visa, the pathway requires applicants to demonstrate that they have the financial resources to cover their expenses in Portugal.

ü  The visa allows the holder to live, work, and study in Portugal.

ü  It's an excellent choice for pensioners and entrepreneurs, retired foreigners, and other ex-pats with stable Income in the form of movable property, real estate, financial investments, intellectual property, etc. The D7 visa leads to a residency permit.

ü  The visa holders may also apply for Portugal's Non-Habitual Resident Tax system.

What are the benefits of a Portugal D7 visa?

ü  Visa-free access to the entire Schengen area.
